"The moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way." ~ William
Hutchison Murray
Can you recall a time that this principle was demonstrated for you? Whether it was something grand or small, let it be a touchstone for you. Use that event to boost your courage to commit to whatever dream you've been saving for Someday.
My example is when I committed to publish The Twelve Gifts of Birth. I had been saying Someday for 10 years. When I said Yes, I'm All In, and made the Leap of Faith, I felt as if I was caught in mid-jump and lifted to a higher dimension of work. From there, I was guided from step to step. Were there still challenges? There were plenty. But facing them often led to something better.
I believe that such a commitment cannot be
forced or faked. And it's best when it's done with a spirit of being in loving service to something greater than oneself.
In terms of financial gain, I had hoped that I would at least break even. Profits over that would be welcomed, of course, but I wasn't dreaming of making a fortune. I just wanted the book to be beautiful in every sense, to be distributed widely, and to successfully convey the message: You have innate gifts and talents. You are valuable. Your dreams matter. You matter. Use your gifts and talents to live well and make a difference in the world.
I hope that the heart of your inner child has heard this message and knows it to be true.
Have a dream? Know that help is ready when you are.
With love, and faith,
Charlene
