“Don't forget that you're a citizen of this world, and there are things you can do every day to lift the human spirit, things that are easy, things that are free, things you can do every day. Civility, respect, kindness, character."
~ Aaron Sorkin
All too often many of us think that the world's challenges are too complex for us to transform and too big for one person to make a difference in any way.
We must disregard the voice within - as well as any voice outside of us - that tells us we are small and helpless. We must ignore the doomsday prophets and resist the forces that
foster despair.
We must hold hope and not forget - never forget - that we are citizens of this world and that we each have enormous power to lift the human spirit.
Perhaps that's what we most need to do.
Lifting the human spirit can lead to healing, problem solving, and peacemaking. It can advance the human
spirit.
Today, as we hold hope, Let's be powerfully kind.
With love and respect,
Charlene
