When our daughters were in the last years of high school - Stephanie a senior and Krista a junior - we had a foreign exchange student from Sweden living with us.  

Even after 30 years, I often recall the brightness that Susanne and her parents brought into the morning of our large outdoor graduation party when we woke to grey sky and rain. Similar to today's quote, Susanne's father said, "Whatever the weather, we can bring sunshine." That helped us to prepare with love and enthusiasm instead of complaints and worry. 

By the start of the party, the rain stopped, the sky cleared, and it turned out to be a beautiful day in all ways. 

May we bring love and enthusiasm to this day.
