“For everything there is a season,
a time for every matter under heaven..."
~ from Ecclesiastes 3,
1-8
We've all heard this verse.
Probably the song too.
How well do we embrace this wisdom and, not only accept what is present in our lives, but value it?
A subscriber and friend just gently reminded me that - for me - this is a time to rest, to be
patient, to be slow. Healing after a major surgery is a long process. (Perhaps she heard some impatience in my voice?)
Times to weep, to laugh, to mourn, to dance, to speak, to hold silence, to build up, to break down, to persevere, to let go... on and on flows our great human experience.
Today, imagine your life as a river. The whole, long, beautiful watercourse has many diverse features. Shallow spots. Places of profound depth.
Rapids. Places where the stream slows then swirls. Despite all the many variances, our rivers are always moving.
May we be in the flow of what is real and true for us right now.
With gratitude for life and joy,
Charlene
