"We only have this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand--and melting like a snowflake. Let us use it before
it is too late." ~ Marie Beyon Ray
What is a moment? Is it a second?
I've heard that when we're in it, it's timeless.
Supposedly we've all slipped into the eternal moment now and then. We may have
been meditating, listening to music, running, painting, rocking a child, or washing a car.
This slip into no-time can happen whenever we're fully engaged in do-ing something or do-ing no-thing, just be-ing. Can you recall one or several experiences of this?
Such
present moments seem magical. Certainly they are awesome. Of course, the author may simply be saying let us not "waste" the time we have here.
What wisdom does this quote stir in you?
Wishing you many moments of Presence.
With reverence,
Charlene
