"Service is the rent we pay to be living. It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time."
~ Marian Wright Edelman
We can
actually be "in service" and "of service" in every moment.
Cleaning the cat litter; preparing a meal; scheduling appointments; allowing a car to merge; waving to a neighbor; folding laundry, paying bills, grocery shopping, showering; walking the dog - all of our activities can be done in loving service, even the things that seem to be everyday chores or necessary things for our families and ourselves.
Today, let's open our hearts, expand our thinking and do all things "in loving service" to life, to living, to the Creator and all creation.
Apply this to the seemingly boring things you need to do, to the drudgeries and the dreaded things too. Apply this to all things.
Notice how some - perhaps all - activities become easier, how they stir joy, how they seem elevated. They may
even feel sacred. You may feel sacred.
With reverence,
Charlene
