"True
navigation begins in the human heart. It's the most important map of all."
~ Elizabeth Kapu'uwailani Lindsey
When a fellow "Pink Lady" told me about Sue the Cancer Navigator, I felt
intrigued with both the job title and the work of helping people find their way through the complexities of cancer and onward to healing.
After meeting with Sue yesterday, I got to thinking about navigation in broader terms.
Aren't we frequently in need of navigational help through some life challenge? How do we find our own best way? How do we stay on course? What do we do when we might be lost? What tools are we using?
People like Sue can help us read maps. We can share
compasses.
And just as the sun and the stars have guided travelers through outer world journeys on land and sea for eons, the heart has been the most powerful navigator for all our human personal trails and trials.
May our hearts keep us on course, this day, every day.
Via love, courage, compassion, and wisdom,
Charlene
