"I think there's a mythology that if you want to change the world, you have to be sainted, like Mother Teresa or Nelson Mandela or Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Ordinary people with lives that go up and down and around in circles can still contribute to change."
~ Jody Williams
It seems to me - actually, I passionately believe - that each of us is both ordinary and extraordinary. How can we not be both, sharing the same basic needs of all humanity while being an amazing one-of-a-kind creation in all eternity?
We are all gifted with talent too. And while that talent may not be considered extraordinary by the world's
standards, we can do extraordinary things with what we have and who we are.
When we follow our bliss and our dreams, when we seek to make a difference somewhere - anywhere that truly matters to us - we should all be able to say, like Donna Summer, "I'm just an ordinary person that did some extraordinary things."
To being our best,
Charlene
