I question the word "only" for surely there are times when we must be with people who sadden or madden us as well as those who gladden us. And we can learn from all persons as we grow in love, compassion, and reverence.
However, it is wise, to the extent we can choose, to be with those who uplift and encourage us.
Today, may we aim to be that kind of person for everyone we greet and share time.
May we be the ones who call forth the best from ourselves and others.
