"Words are like nets - we hope they'll cover what we mean, but we know they can't possibly hold that much joy, or grief, or wonder.”
~Jodi Picoult
Words fall short when we offer sympathy to someone. Often, it
seems there are no words to convey our deep caring and our wish to recognize and comfort another's grief.
It's true for love, wonder, and joy too, especially when we are experience a great fullness of them.
Still, we try. We must. Why? For one reason, it's often said that grief shared is halved and joy shared is doubled.
Wishing you greatly multiplied joy today,
Charlene
