Bom Dia from the Unstoppable Family!

October has been an amazing month for us here in Brasil.  There have been several holidays that have given this little town of Praia da Pipa, Brasil, some great energy.

The Brazilian culture is very big on family and children, so there is a dedicated national holiday just for kids!

Hanalei attends Escola Maturi, which is a private school here in Pipa. They only speak Portuguese, but that has not stopped her.

On the morning of Kids Day, all the kids come to the beach to endulge in the sand, sun and fun, then in the afternoon, the families head to the school for a party to celebrate.

The whole outdoor school was transformed into a children's playground, with fun stuff that the kids had been decorating for the last month. They made paper maché trains that the kids could play in as well as huge spinning pin wheels, and  turned the center square into a theater. The teachers put on a beautiful play for the kids (in Portuguese) about taking care of our environment especially the trees. (I had to get the translation later to really get the story)  but the kids really loved it.

The kids also had their own home project to do as well. The little girls had to make dolls, and the boys, trains (with a little help from a friend). Hanalei made the cutest little dolly that represented her to a "T". She had rainbow hair, with little bells on her hands and feet and cute little blue button eyes. Hanalei was very proud to show her dolly to all her friends- you would never guess that she was new to this school and new to Portuguese. Love and fun is an international language!

Brian has been making the best of the surf here in Pipa, but the waves are definitely the smallest he has had since we have been traveling! Although Brasil is known for its surfing, Pipa has not been the "spot"  but he has enjoyed it nonetheless.

I absolutely love the beaches here in Pipa, and have enjoyed long jogs and walks along the waters edge.

We will be here in Pipa until December 15th, so we are excited to celebrate Thanksgiving with all of our American and Brazilian friends. Coming up on November 28th, we will be celebrating 8 years of marriage and 3 years of traveling! It is amazing how fast 3 years has flown by.

Until then....enjoy your month just as we will!

Business Tip for the Month:  BE HAPPY, I think  John Lennon said it best

Cheers from the Unstoppable Family in Brazil...
