Bom dia from Brasil!

We moved into our gorgeous 5 bedroom house called Casa Ixani on September 1st. What a beautiful place to live, run our business and really enjoy Brasil. It's on top of a hill that has amazing views of the ocean and the blowing palm trees. Swano has found his perfect "office" on the top floor in one of the hammocks where he spends most of his days working and enjoying the views.

This month we really have had a chance to settle down in Praia da Pipa and get our "DMO" (Daily Method of Operation) set. After we wake up we usually have a "Cannon Ball" in the pool, answer a few emails while Hanalei has breakfast and then head for the "Praia" (beach in Portuguese). We typically head to Pipa Beach Club because it is directly on the beach, has the best food and Leanart the owner has put the "Bloody Mary" on the menu just for me, as well as a burrito for Swano. If any of you know how many burritos Swano ate while living in San Diego and how much we miss them while traveling, you will understand why we love this place so much! It is also the only pace in Pipa that can make a Bloody Mary that perfectly hits the spot! We have been referring The Beach Club to the show "Cheers"- "You want to go where everybody knows your name" and it is always nice to walk in somewhere and your favorite song starts playing! So needless to say, we have found our groove here in Pipa.

The Rock in Rio concert was a few weeks ago and Swano "had" to go...so he made the decision to head to the concert with a few friends we met here in Pipa just 1 hour before the taxi was leaving for Natal, which is 1.5 hours away. This is when it gets interesting...their flight was leaving at 3am, and at 2:15am in the morning I get a call from Swano telling me that he forgot his passport and I needed to send it to him. So I wake up "Adriano" the driver at 2:15 in the morning to pick up and deliver Swano's passport to the Natal airport 1.5 hours away! He missed the 3am flight but made it on the 6am flight and headed to the Copacabana in Rio to meet Jelle and Rob.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers were playing that night and Metallica the next. Since I am writing this update....you can all ask Swano personally about the events that occurred for that weekend. They are absolutly hilarious!

Hanalei has been at her school for 2 months now and is learning Portuguese faster than we could have ever imagined. She has a Spanish background from the last year, so she is having no problems at all with learning and understanding Portuguese at school that does not speak any english at all. It is really amazing how much of a sponge kids are, and it excites me to know that she will have this experience and language skills to last her a lifetime.

We truly do live a "Pinch me life". I am grateful each day for what I have in my life.

BUSINESS TIP OF THE MONTH:  Be in Service:

My favorite quote from Jim Rohn says it all:  Whoever renders service to many puts himself in line for greatness - great wealth, great return, great satisfaction, great reputation, and great joy.
