Hey
"If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my
mastery, it would not seem so wonderful at all." - Michelangelo...
Hmmmm, Michelangelo was one of the most creative,
intellectual and hardworking people ever; he painted the Sistine Chapel in Rome; so he's kind of a big deal! So for Michelangelo to say the above must have some truth in it.
When I first read this it
did get me thinking about my own life and what I've achieved so far. I hold a
Masters degree and before I started it I received various comments that I may
struggle and was I being realistic. And now people are really shocked and
impressed because they 'know how hard a masters degree is', when I respond with
comments like 'it really wasn't that hard' this can come across slightly
arrogant however it's not, the reason it doesn't seem hard now is because when
I tackled the degree I didn't do it all in one day. I read as much as I could,
worked as hard as I could each day for 18 months and now I have the reward. So
when I respond to them with 'it really wasn't that hard' it's because I don't
see a masters degree I see a collection of 24hrs. Success really is just putting one foot in front of the other and soon enough 'that impossible' task
won't seem so impossible. So get started today! :-)
Wishing you the best.
Stu
P.S. I was an E student at school, education is not a
matter of intelligence it's a matter of hardwork! If you work hard at
something when you achieve it you'll realise all you did is put one foot in front
of the other!
