Thursday 14 April 2011

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, and His eternal consort, Srimati Radharani are enjoying transcendental pastimes in the topmost planet of the spiritual world, Sri Goloka Vrindavan. They are beckoning us to rejoin them. (Click on photo to see a larger image.)

Our Mission: To help everyone awaken their original Krishna consciousness, which is eternal, full of knowledge and full of bliss. Such a global awakening will, in one stroke, solve all the problems of the world society bringing in a new era of unprecedented peace and prosperity for all. May that day, which the world so desperately needs, come very soon. We request you to participate in this mission by reviving your dormant Krishna consciousness and assisting us in spreading this science all over the world.

Dedicated with love to ISKCON Founder-Acharya: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, our beloved spiritual master, and to you, our dear readers.

Today's Thought:

Don't Be a Fool
Uploaded from Riga, Latvia

Don't be a fool spending your entire life simply serving your temporary material body and the temporary material bodies of your near and dear ones. Instead you should as far as possible invest your energy in the eternal spiritual reality which underlies this material existence. This is real intelligence. So be intelligent. Do not misuse your most valuable human form of life, which is meant for realizing the highest truth.

Answers According to the Vedic Version:

Question:  Serving Krishna and Neglecting Work

If a devotee serves Krishna and Krishna's devotees, but he does not serve the society and does not do his work well, is it considered to be bad or is it a part of his spiritual service?

I.D.

Answer: Serving Krishna is the Best Work

If one waters the root of a tree, he is rendering the best service to the entire tree. Similarly, if one is properly serving Krishna under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master, he is doing the best service for the human society, even if his service is not recognized by the material society. This does not mean that a devotee should neglect his ordinary work. Whatever a devotee does, is executed in a first class way because everything that he does is offered in love to Lord Sri Krishna.
