Published: Sat, 07/02/11

A daily broadcast of the Ultimate Self Realization Course

Sunday 3 July 2011

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, and His eternal consort, Srimati Radharani are enjoying transcendental pastimes in the topmost planet of the spiritual world, Sri Goloka Vrindavan. They are beckoning us to rejoin them. (Click on photo to see a larger image.)

Our Mission: To help everyone awaken their original Krishna consciousness, which is eternal, full of knowledge and full of bliss. Such a global awakening will, in one stroke, solve all the problems of the world society bringing in a new era of unprecedented peace and prosperity for all. May that day, which the world so desperately needs, come very soon. We request you to participate in this mission by reviving your dormant Krishna consciousness and assisting us in spreading this science all over the world.

Dedicated with love to ISKCON Founder-Acharya: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, our beloved spiritual master, and to you, our dear readers.

Today's Thought:

Unscientific Science
Uploaded from Melbourne, Australia

Scientists enjoy denigrating religionists comparing them to little children who believe in outrageous fairytales. But if we take a close look at what the scientists are asking us to blindly accept on faith from them, we will see that is is unscientific dogma.  They want us to accept that the universe came out of absolutely nothing, but there is not even one shred of scientific evidence to support that anything can came out nothing, what to speak of the entire cosmic manifestation coming out of nothing.

Answers According to the Vedic Version:

Question: How to Read Bhagavad-gita?

Hare Krishna, Gurudeva.

I just started to read Bhagavad-gita but I do not really understand what is the essence of the Gita. Please tell how to read and understand it. Is there any procedure to read it?

Rubina

Answer: Cover to Cover With Questions

The essence of the Bhagavad-gita is to fully surrender unto Lord Sri Krishna under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master.

You should carefully read the Bhagavad-gita As It Is by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada cover to cover and keep a notebook for writing down the questions that come to mind while you are reading it. Then you should attend classes on the Bhagavad-gita at your nearest ISKCON center and inquire from the local devotees to get your questions answered. You may also write me with your questions.

Also our Ultimate Self Realization Course features a weekly lesson on the Bhagavad-gita. Kindly dutifully complete the lesson and send in your answer each week.
