How to See God Everywhere
Uploaded from Bhaktivedanta Ashram, Austin,

Devotional
service is so wonderfully attractive that it even
attracts Krishna. Krishna is so pleased by it
that he reveals Himself to His devotee from within that
devotee's devotional service proportionately according
to the degree of that devotee's intensity of absorption
in that service. So if
you want to see God, all you have to do is fully engage
yourself in His service. And then according to the
degree of your surrender you will see God in your
service and everywhere.

Answers by Citing the Vedic Version: |
|
Question: Who are the Seven Mothers? |
|
Hare Krishna,
Gurudeva,
According to the Vedic version we have got seven
mothers. So can you explain about the seven mothers?
Rubini
|
|
Answer: Here's the List of the
Seven Mothers |
|
The seven mother are listed in this verse by Canakya
Pandita, which was quoted by Srila Prabhupada.
ātma-mātā guroḥ patnī
brāhmaṇī rāja-patnikā
dhenur dhātrī tathā pṛthvī
saptaitā mātaraḥ smṛtāḥ
SYNONYMS
ātma-mātā—one's own mother; guroḥ-patnī—the wife of the
guru; brāhmaṇi—the wife of a brāhmaṇa; rāja-patnikā—the
wife of a king; dhenuḥ—the cow; dhātrī—the nurse; tathā—thus;
pṛthvī—the earth; sapta etā—these seven; mātaraḥ—mothers;
smṛtāḥ—should be remembered as.
TRANSLATION
"One's own mother, the wife of the guru, the wife of a
brāhmaṇa, the wife of a king, the cow, the nurse, and
the earth are known as the seven mothers of a man."
(Cāṇakya Paṇḍita)
Sometimes the argument is made that a man who has a wife
cannot be a spiritual master. This foolish argument is
defeated by this verse, which directly states the wife
of the spiritual master is one of seven mothers. The
guru's wife is the second mother in the list mentioned
just after the mother from whom one has taken birth.
