Hello Welcome to Martyn Brown's 1Radio.org update newsletter.I know it's a tad early, but I found this Christmas themed template so thougth I'd use it for today's update, I hope you are well and feeling excited about the holidays ahead. Also, may I say welcome to our Viva! QR Magazine readers :-)
The Old, Gold n Rare show is going great, thank you for tuning in when you can!
Tonight's show is at 8pm for two hours (it's another gem, I can promise you) and I have been fortunate enough to be able to book in two hour shows for the rest of November and December which means that I can fit in all the artists and features including the Top 5 competition, which is brilliant!
The new show for taking requests (normally on Friday lunchtimes), 'The Vinyl Frontier - At Your Request', has proven very successful with plenty of interaction from listeners who want to hear their vinyl record requests.
To this end, I have planned a newer show that will feature just old vinyl record music. I'm calling it 'Vinyl Impressions', yes, yet another play on words but it does get the message across as to what we will be about.
Although it won't be a specific request show like, 'The Vinyl Frontier - At Your Request' is, it will enable me to play many of the thousands of vinyl titles I have on my database.
While I was compiling the playlists for display on the website, it struck me that, out of all the 1000s of songs available for people to request from, there are many that will not be requested as the listener probably won't know what they are so the, 'Vinyl Impressions' show will remedy this.

The above link shows you the listings.
In fact, I had so many artists filed under the letter 'S' that the database online wouldn't take them all so I had to put a number '1' in front of the artists name in order to get it filed under '0-9' section so, at least, it could be found when using the Search facility.
It looks like I have pushed the 1Radio.org playlist section to the limit LOL.
That's it for this update, thank you for subscribing and, of course, I'll let you know when 'Vinyl Impressions' will be going live ... possibly early in the New Year. Martyn Brown
