Happy New Year! Well, sort of... [Become A Better Blogger]

Published: Tue, 09/01/15

September is January for moms.

It’s the real start of the new year as we send our kids into new grades at school and we start up new routines.

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this new school year.

It is a lot of work… The school morning routine, making lunches, getting the kids to activities, managing play dates and the toughest part… helping with HOMEWORK!

(My girls are going into the 3rd and 5th grades, so homework time is increasing.)

But at the same time, I am looking forward to getting back into a routine where I have more time to WORK.

Summer Slide

This summer, I wanted to invest lots of time with my girls so I had to step back from some of my regular work. And thus, I had my own intentional sort of "summer slide."

For instance… you may have noticed, I haven’t been emailing you lately.

I needed to find some areas to reduce my work time over July and August, and so I paused this weekly “Become a Better Blogger” series.

With my girls getting older, I decided to focus on fun projects we could do together… such as family travel posts and tween clothing photo shoots and shopping hauls.

In case you missed them, here are a few...

I’ve spent a lot more time this summer on Instagram and now also on Periscope.
