As you know I love Pinterest, but the only way of efficiently building your Pinterest profile is by scheduling pins.
In the past, I’ve
used ViralTag and Ahalogy, with most of my time spent on ViralTag.
I didn't really like the ViralTag
interface, but it allowed me to schedule pins relatively easily. I also used Ahalogy, but more for adding pins to a queue rather than at specific times or intervals.
But a couple of weeks ago, my editor told me that she heard a serious warning about ViralTag.
She was taking Melissa Culbertson's Pinning Perfect class led by Anna Luther and they were discussing Pinterest

It seems there are only a few
Pinterest schedulers that have API access with Pinterest. This API access means Pinterest sees your pins from these schedulers the same as it sees the pins you're pinning directly from Pinterest.
Apparently, it treats these pins like you're an organic user.
Those schedulers with API access are Ahalogy and Tailwind (and I believe Buffer now as well.)
Anna also said that Hootsuite has API access, but she hasn’t yet to tested their Pinterest scheduler in action.
She warned that any other schedulers like Viraltag and Board Booster can get you marked as spam on Pinterest, and she cannot recommend
them.
I immediately canceled my Viraltag account and switched to Tailwind.
And now I am completely in LOVE with Tailwind.
It has a fabulous interface and is so easy to use. You can even schedule pins via Tailwind without leaving the Pinterest platform.
There’s also a method to send “draft pins” to your Tailwind account from the mobile Pinterest app. It’s still a bit of extra work, but it’s better than no option from the mobile app.
Do yourself a favor and start using Tailwind to schedule your pins!
