So. Back to ghosts. Back in the late 1980s, I was part of a development team at Bell Labs... thing is, I couldn't comprehend C++/programming (aka real programming). So instead, I taught myself something different (Korn Shell Scripting) and in 2004, broke the Google code using it.
I never did emotionally recover from not being "smart" enough for "real programming."
Zoom up to yesterday. I'm earlobe-deep into making mobile sales pages and pricing tables.... and some of the comments I received brought back all of my "shame" from not being "a real developer". Go figure. Lots of ghosts! So.... I dealt with it by simply bagging yesterday's afternoon work and gave myself permission to mourn what I didn't have.
And then I let it go... and got up this morning... and am happily zooming along once more in my development.
