It's Wednesday morning and omg... parenting.

NOT for the faint of heart!

But first:
 

Where was I?

Oh yes, parenting!

Ever have your kid feel utterly miserable and act out because of it?

That was HS2 yesterday.  Refusal to communicate.  Okay, thought I, I'll let you work it out on your own and I'll take advantage of finishing my grand idea, going to the gym myself, etc.etc.etc.  Mom Time By Herself!

Hah.

5 minutes later (right before I was going to go out) he came back and said, Mom, can we please talk this out and see where the communication failure point happened?

So much for MomTime.  

So we talked... and talked... and talked.... gave him some coping mechanisms.... and talked... and talked... and the end physical result?  He asked to take his bike for exercising (1.5 mile ride uphill/downhill that was, then I let him pack the bike into the moosemobile) and then we both hit the gym for 30 minutes (Mom, I'm going to push myself - it's better than just feeling sorry for myself), and then did some grocery shopping.  Talked more about false friends, how one can never control others' actions but can always choose how to react.... 

Good times all around.  Whole adventure took 2 hours yesterday.   

Parenting.  It's not for the faint of heart.
