I just got off the phone with a "prospect" who called me..
as they usually do..
and I want to share with you something pretty important
(especially if you have EVER thought about contacting me)
She told me that she wasn't sure if she should call or not..
she didn't know if I would answer the phone or try to pitch her
or maybe I just wouldn't call her back...
SILLY lady! TRICKS are for Sharks ;)
So I went on to tell her
"I am not here to PITCH anyone, I am here to help.
People call me because they want to know what I do,
and how I can help them with their businesses."
I have a NORMAL conversation...
I ask questions and talk about their life..
what they do, what they're interested in...
IT'S a conversation, no different than one you have with your friends..
(OK, maybe a little...but NOTHING like most assume!)
I know this because I was there ..
It was the summer of 2008 and I found this lady who
"peaked my interest" and I wanted to know more about her
and what she was doing.
I was a chicken though because I thought FOR SURE she was gonna pitch me!!
"She's not gonna get me...NO MA'AM!"
It took me a few weeks and many emails back and forth
before I got up the nerve to talk to her on the phone.
The cool part is I am still working with her,
we have a project we're working on together RIGHT now..
