Happy Friday!

Since September 2011, I have gotten tons of reader feedback about

Windows 8 and where it's going.

It's been somewhat of a mixed bag.

The good news is that the Technology community mostly seems to want

Microsoft to succeed.

The only consistently negative feedback that I have received since

the Windows 8 Developer Preview has centered around the (unwelcome)

marriage of the traditional Windows 8 UI and the Metro interface.

After thinking it through, I came up with 9 reasons why Microsoft

should keep the Metro UI separate from the traditional Windows 8

desktop interface
