Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

I exchanged email updates with a high-school classmate, one I hadn't seen in 25 years or so. I gave her a quick overview of our life full-time RVing and having a home base in Alaska. Her response was that it sounded, "So exotic." Hmmm…. I thought her life working in meditation and holistic healing sounded more intriguing.

We tend to overlook the value of what is commonplace. That's true whether it is with lifestyle or job skills. Don't underestimate your abilities.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip -- One Job Exchange and One Work for Pay

If you travel with a partner, you may find your best financial deal is for you to split up when it comes to working. One of you could work at the campground where you are living, in exchange for your RV site, utilities, and use of facilities. The other could work away from the campground. Together, you would then have double benefits – fewer living expenses and a paycheck.

Certification Cards, Licenses, and Completion Documents

Certification cards, licenses, and completion documents. You've heard that bank advertisement that asks what you carry in your wallet. It's an important consideration for working RVers. However, we’re not talking about credit cards.

JR Watkins - A Location Independent Business for RVers

Bob and I have been selling JR Watkins products since 2005. People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. The business is extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want. No minimum orders. They'll drop-ship the products for you. Work the business wherever your RV travels take you -- USA or Canada. See the product catalog and learn more.

Working RVer Tip -- The Best Time Isn't the Only Time

The best time to find a job isn't the only time to find a job. Most RVers who are managing Christmas tree sales lots during the next few weeks already have those jobs in place. They undoubtedly started looking for them months ago. However, it is still possible to find a job working in a tree lot or on a tree farm. There are always last minute cancellations, no-shows, and situations that just don't work out right.

Working RVer Tip -- Gift Wrapping Booth

You can work craft shows, holiday bazaars, and flea markets this time of year, even if you aren't crafty and haven't already made up a bunch of stuff to sell. Set up a gift wrapping booth. You can also use this idea to piggy-back on vendor fairs, those events where Tupperware, Avon, Watkins, Mary Kay, and other direct sales company reps get together to sell at a combined event.

Something to Think About

As long as we know in our hearts what Christmas ought to be, Christmas is. ~ Author Unknown

I truly believe that if we keep telling the Christmas story, singing the Christmas songs, and living the Christmas spirit, we can bring joy and happiness and peace to this world. ~ Norman Vincent Peale
