Working RVer Tip -- Check Your Receipts and Take-Out Cups

Check your receipts to see if the stores where you shop are hiring. Our local grocery has a notice at the top of the receipt, "Now Hiring!" and then gives the website address where to apply. Many restaurants do that, also. And, something I've seen recently is a "Come Work with Us!" message restaurant take out boxes and to-go cups.

RVers Vending at Flea Markets, Fairs, Festivals, Shows, and Special Events

One of the most popular ways RVers earn is by setting up a sales booth at a market or public event. It's what Bob and I started out doing back when we first went full-time RVing in early 1992. We have a series on Workers On Wheels with articles on working fairs and festivals; how to find events; tips for a successful booth, and some about our personal experience working flea markets and other events.

Working RVer Tip -- Resume Writing Tip

Put relevant information on your resume. This means to show what skills and experience you have that would help you to do the tasks the position requires. Skills you've gained from being a homeowner and/or a volunteer can be more relevant than those you've gained in your professional career.

Working RVer Tip -- It's a Small World

Remember it is a small world. Someone you know knows someone who is hiring. You can acquire some of your best job leads by visiting with other working RVers, with staff, and with business owners. (It is also a small world in that your next supervisor may know your past supervisor.)
