Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Bob and I started Workers On Wheels 25 years ago. We were both in our early 30s, healthy, and far from financially independent. We didn't have pensions, welfare, or social security. We didn't have a huge wad of savings for groceries, gas, insurance, vehicle repairs, and all the other expenses of daily living. In other words -- we had to work to earn a living.

That need to work and earn a living didn't change when we decided to go full-time RVing. There was no question that we would be working RVers. Working in exchange for an RV site with no additional pay, or doing volunteer work that included an RV space, were not options. We needed to do work that paid our bills and let us save for replacement RVs, travel, retirement, and unexpected expenses.

Over the years, we've done quite a few things, and gained incredible experiences. We've worked tourist attractions; for temp staffing agencies; and as property caretakers. Bob's fired a steam train, planted millions of trees, and gone shrimping. I've done research, been paid to organize parties, and worked as a bookkeeper for a non-profit organization. We've been able to create things and sell them -- jewelry, hand-tied fishing lures, paintings. We've grown a business together. And, oh so much more!

We started Workers On Wheels because people kept asking us about our life and our work -- and if they could do something similar. We hope sharing our experiences (and that of other working RVers) continues to inspire you, and to provide you with practical information.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

A "Man Friday" is an all-around helper or assistant. He's an efficient and devoted aide or employee. He's the right-hand man, who does what the boss needs. That was my role, and I enjoyed the job.

How Long Does it Take to Start Earning Income with a Website or Blog?

How long does it take to earn your living with a website or blog? I'll give you a clue: It doesn't happen overnight. This article interviews SIB! site owners, to find out how long it took them. Something I particularly like about the article is that they are not all using the same money making methods;  it's a mix of services, affiliate marketing, sales, advertising, etc.
