Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Bob and I lived in the South Dakota Black Hills before we went full-time RVing. The flea market in Rapid City, SD is where we got our start as working RVers. It's where we met full-time RVers and started learning about the lifestyle.

Deadwood was the last place we owned a traditional home before moving into an RV. It's where we spent our first few nights as full-timers, not knowing what we were doing or if we were going to like it. These were not only our first few nights as full-timers, but our first-ever nights in a campground.

We often route our travels to include a stop in the Hills. Sometimes, it is a few days in the spring or fall. Sometimes, it is for a few weeks or months. We've spent several seasons in Hill City, where Bob worked on the 1880 Train. We're in the Black Hills again. I don't know how long we will stay this time. There's always plenty to do here, for work and for fun.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip -- Price and Wage Correlations

You've probably noticed that in some areas of the country, things are more expensive. This includes RV parks. That doesn't mean you should need to work more hours in exchange for your RV site in those areas. The reason? Wages tend to be in line with the area's cost of living. The hourly value of your time is worth more there than it is in areas where prices are generally less.
