Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Steam whistles from massive traction engines, the popping of single-single engines, the put-put of two-cylinder John Deeres, the clatter of a Caterpillar track, whinnying of horses, the crushing of gravel under the steel wheels of the giant plow tractors…these are the sounds I hear in the background. We are at the Albert City Threshermen and Collectors Show. We hadn't planned to be in Iowa this week. But, here we are, taking part in Albert City's 47th annual show, which happens to be hosting the 175th Anniversary of Case.

I love the flexibility that comes with working while RVing. You may recall we've been in the Black Hills of South Dakota much of this summer. We left there, and crossed the Dakotas to see our mothers and to catch up with visiting relatives. Rather than make the trek back to the Black Hills, we thought we'd kick around southeastern South Dakota for a few days. But, somehow or another, this threshermens show ended up on our radar. So instead of a full hook-up city RV park in Vermillion, SD, today our home is parked in a field-turned-into-camping-area on an Iowa farm. Life is good!

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

JR Watkins - Free Products When You Start this Month

Watkins is giving every new consultant who joins this month a $30 gift certificate. On top of that, when you also place a 100-point order this month, I'll give you a $10 gift certificate. The cost to sign up is $29.95. There are no on-going fees or monthly charges.

Bob and I have been selling JR Watkins products since 2005. People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. The business is extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want. No minimum orders. They'll drop-ship the products for you. Work the business wherever your RV travels take you -- USA or Canada. See the product catalog and learn more.

Working RVer Tip -- A Secret to Success

Kurt stopped by to chat and told me about his new construction job. He's operating heavy equipment about 35 hours a week. He likes the work and his boss. He really likes the big paycheck. When I'd visited with him not too long ago, he was delivering auto parts. I commented to him that I thought he liked that job. He replied that the delivery job was great – until he found something better.

And there you have one secret of success: Be positive about one job while keeping your eyes open for something you'll like even more.

Working RVer Tip -- Employment Checklist

You may find it helpful to have an employment checklist. It is easy to forget what questions to ask. It is easy to take things for granted. You can use a checklist as a reminder of things you need to know about the job, the employer, and the employment situation.
