Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Bob and I celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary tomorrow, October 3. We've spent many of those years as extended-time or full-time RVers.

We thrive on not only living and traveling together in an RV, but also working together. We've flea marketed, done property caretaking, ran a store, and managed a museum together. For us, sharing all that time is one of the main benefits of RV life.

When we started full-timing, people referred to us as "the kids." I remember trying to join an RV club group that described itself as being for "younger" RVers. We didn't meet the qualifications because members had to be born between certain dates (years), and we were too young.

That youthfulness is what first led us to starting Workers On Wheels. People would ask how, at our age, we could afford to travel full-time and not work. We'd answer that we worked as we traveled. Others wanted to learn to do it also, so they could join the full-time RVing lifestyle, so we started the Workers On Wheels print newsletter.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

JR Watkins - A Location Independent Business for RVers

Bob and I have been selling JR Watkins products since 2005. People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. The business is extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want. No minimum orders. They'll drop-ship the products for you. Work the business wherever your RV travels take you -- USA or Canada. See the product catalog and learn more.

Working RVer Tip: There Are Reasons to Follow Instructions

People hiring for jobs have you do certain things for specific reasons that might not be readily apparent to you. For example, they may require that you fill out one of their applications, and not accept a typed resume. The reason? They want to see if your handwriting is legible.

20 Questions Campground Workers Should Ask

Here are 26 questions RVers might want to ask prospective campground owners to help them decide if a particular work camper position is the right match.

1. Hour many hours must I work for the "free" RV site?

2. Are extra work hours for pay available? How many?

3. Are those hours per person or per couple?

4. Are the hours in full day blocks, or split shifts?

5. Do my spouse and I get the same days off?

6. What hookups are provided at no extra charge?
