Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Thank you for sending your thoughts about Bob's articles. Some of have been about how his articles are practical and full of good, usable ideas. Others tell us you simply find them fun to read and like hearing about his work experiences. Whether you are gleaning tips on how to find a job from them, or simply find them entertaining, we appreciate your positive comments.

"Thinking outside the box" is a good thing, right? Maybe, but, not necessarily. When it comes to jobs, employers may want you to do something the way they've always done it. Your new, creative way may be faster, cheaper, or better for the business. However, employers may still expect you to do the job their way. Employers certainly may be open to your ideas and suggestions, and they may appreciate your ingenuity. But, whether they implement them or not is their choice.

Did you just work a fireworks stand? If so, please drop me a note about what company you worked with, along with whatever else you'd like to share about the experience.

We hope you are having a good summer.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip -- At Job Interview, Ask as well as Answer

Job interviews are a two-way street. Most people think of them as the employer asking the questions and the employee answering. However, they are also a time when the employee should be asking questions – and listening to the answers.

~ Clark's Flea Market Guide - The Original and Still Favorite Swap Meet Directory

We traveled the USA for years, vending at flea markets all over the country. We didn't have a set circuit. Instead, we picked a general area that we thought we might want to go to and then I started searching to see what shows were in that area. I bought several different flea market directories and they were all okay. But, there was one that I kept going back to: Clark's.
