Here is a pictorial report from our recent trip to Jamaica.  Enjoy!  Pictorial Report, Jamaica, 2-K-Love

February, 2-K-Love.  What does that mean?  In Jamaica, eight is pronounce with an "h" sound in front of it (h-eight or hate). But this is not the year of HATE, it's the year of LOVE!   Cool!

Spring Break

Orlando? Visiting the grandparents in Arizona? Cancun? A cruise? These are all considered "hotspots" or places that families or individiuals consider for their spring break. I decided to choose a non-conventional spot, at least in comparison to what the normal "spring breaker" would consider.

For my spring break, I will be traveling to Guatemala City, Guatemala!!!!  One of the most beautiful countries in the Central American region (at least that's what I think)!! I will be spending the week with my family and  also be there during the most spiritual time of the year.

Spiritual you ask?
Guatemala is the only country in the world that observes Holy Week with reverence and deep devotion. During this time, the streets, and I dare to say the city, are filled with thousands of people in a pilgrimage following traditions and acts of faith. This will include walking from sunrise to sunset alongside of human size figures of Jesus carrying a cross on a platform that weighs a little over a ton.

But why should I spoil everything before I get a chance to go back? This was just a little info to "wet your pallate". Hope you can wait to see pictures of my trip and the details of the week!
