Near the Guatemala border, in the middle of Belize lies these wonderful Mayan ruins. We had the honor of being guided by Rosario, a Mopan Mayan woman from the area. See what Rosario has to say about the end of the Mayan Calendar!
Bredda Lion now offers camping accomadations on the River by Reach Falls. This art community is so very supportive and energetic. Come see what he has to offer and maybe listen to one of Bredda Lion's original songs on YouTubes.

A Story from Jamaica | |
The sun was hot on the sandy beach, as a traveler approached a fisherman's stall beneath a cool almond tree. "Got any fish?" the traveler inquired. Otis, the fisherman replied,"Ya Mon, today mi catch two snapper,"
The tourist, thankful to get the fish asked if he had any more. "No more today, mi only catch what mi need to sell"
The tourist opined that if Otis caught more fish he could sell more and make more money. "And do what wid dat?" Otis asked.
Eyeing the meager skiff tied to the tree, the tourist said, "You could save the money, buy a larger boat, catch much more fish and make more money. "Den what mi do?" Otis inquired. "Well save that money until you could buy more boats, hire other fishermen to run them, become the head of the company, catch many fish, work hard, save your money and some day you can retire.
"Wat is dis retire?" the puzzled native asked. The tourist replied "It's when you work hard all your life, save your money and finally your are able to relax and do the things you like to do"
"Well" Otis replied, "mi like to fish." | |
