You have probably guessed straight away that the second programme was the one in which the most money was earned, and that the people featured within it were getting serious amounts of money quickly. The first programme called “Dirty Britain” was shown on Tuesday 15th May at 9:00pm (you might get still get to see it on ITV’s website here) and it was about the workers that have to clean up for us on a daily basis, and my God you should be glad that there are people out there prepared to get their hands dirty and do some of the “shit jobs” that they featured in the show. The programme featured sewer workers that have to don breathing gear (because it really is that bad “down there” folks) and take a shovel with them to scrape away the layers of old cooking fat (amongst other nasty stuff!) from the sewer walls to stop them from blocking up altogether. Just as I was getting a bit over confident about my custom error pages being able to cope with a server error by my web host, I was suddenly hit with a very short internal server error that actually left my site completely unavailable for half an hour or so! If you no longer want these emails click I was also just beginning to recommend the services of otogoldmine because of their excellent software that can create One Time Offer error pages for use in those times when your site is experiencing difficulties, and saying how good they are when in that one precise situation they didn't actually work. OTOgoldmine Well that is what we call Sod's Law I suppose! Actually I should explain this situation a bit better, shouldn't I? Or else how else will you believe me when I tell you that you can make money from server error messages if you do it right. You see it wasn't the fault of the excellent otogoldmine One Time Offer software at all. It was with the way that my webhosting company works really (But hey, once in three years with no other trouble is pretty good going!) The way that the otogoldmine One Time Offer software works (and you can create great pop ups with your OTO's too, should you want to!) is by redirecting your standard error pages to the custom designed error pages that you create with them. These custom designed error pages actually contain your affiliate link to a fantastic range of software products. OTOgoldmine The exact range of products on the OTO page you create is easy to customize too. You simply choose the package you feel best suits the error page you are redirecting. (The videos and online help at the site explain it much better than I do!) This provides you with a way to make money with your website even when your website isn't actually functioning correctly! I like this software and use it on the Yearn2earncash.com websites error pages. Unfortunately (for me at least!) for the software to work you have to tell your web host to redirect your error pages to the otogoldmine One Time Offer pages that you specify. Normally that isn't a problem for most websites out there - and you might well have a host that can handle this correctly, meaning that the software would be wonderful for you to make money with. But my webhosting company requires that the redirected error pages be specified in my .HTACCESS file, which is then uploaded to my server. And that's where the problem lies. It's a sort of catch 22 situation. You see because the instructions to redirect the individual error pages are in my .HTACCESS file, it requires my server to at least be working to a certain degree to actually redirect my error page to my specified One Time Offer page. And because the server error I had was so great my .HTACCESS file could not be loaded to redirect the error page to my OTO page, it simply loaded the default 500 Error Internal server error page which doesn't do a damn thing to make me any money! If my server was like many others were you can instruct the server (via browser based software to enter in the command codes) to redirect to a specified URL in the event of an error, then my OTO page would have loaded just fine and everyone would have seen the fantastic offer I had specified - and by now I would have no doubt been sitting on a wad of cash! (Well a little wad at least!) Never mind eh? At least my webhosting company is brilliant most of the time. As I said before I have never had any problem with them in all these years, and I still recommend them to anyone thinking of starting a website. Oh and if you are still thinking about cashing in on One Time Offer pages when your site has issues I would still recommend you try otogoldmine, because as long as my server still functions I can still use them to make money on my other error page types, such as 404 Errors (file not found), 403 Errors (forbidden access) and 401 Errors (unauthorized access) Whatever you do just make sure that you have something in place to help you make money even when your site is down! I know that a lot of people have difficulty with the support on the website being a little slow sometimes. I mean don’t get me wrong the Royal Mail is probably one of the best postal services in the world (but I guess I am a little biased being British and all!) and I do use them all the time for many services, they are not just there for stamps after all, but the prices really are getting a bit high these days. That’s why I think that there there’s never been a better time to start an online business. I mean £0.60 for a first class stamp and £0.50 for a second class stamp, plus other rises for all their other standard services! It’s no wonder that everyone that can is trying to use online services more and more often. It’s true that there are some services that you just cannot do online, but wherever possible it’s well worth trying. Not everyone can (or would really even like to) receive their Christmas cards by email, but its no surprise to me that a growing number of people are doing exactly that each year, and not just for their Christmas cards but for whatever else they can send by email, or uploaded to other online services for free such as Mediafire for easier later downloading by their intended recipients.
