Tomorrow's Message
The sermon tomorrow will continue the teaching focus for the month of September: Better Together: What do we mean when we talk about "fellowship" and how can we find it? As I'm sure you'll agree, during these challenging and divided times, we need to lean on each other, and need help developing and maintaining healthy spiritual community.
Tomorrow's message will focus on 1 John 2:1-11. In this part of the book, John finishes up what he'd been talking about in chapter one (how Christ helps us to deal with the problem of sin ... and then pivots to talk about one of his concerns in the letter: that the readers misunderstand what it means to be Christians. If our fellowship together is built around a common faith, then clarity about what this common faith involves is of paramount importance.
And unfortunately, the confusion that John was concerned about among his readers continues to this day ... so his words to them are vitally important for us today.
Also note that tomorrow we will begin making nursery available, and we will start up our Q and A sessions (see below).
I hope you can join us for this important teaching.
