Food is Medicine - 2 Plant Recipes to Kick Out Any Colds or Flu's
 Recipe #1 - Voodoo Juice - Dr. Saber's Update on the Master Cleanse
- 8 cups of Water
- 1 cup of organic lemon juice
- 6-8 cloves minced or crushed fresh garlicÂ
- 3-4 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
- 4-5 dashes powdered cayenne pepper
Put all in a pot and simmer with the lid on for 10 minutes, strain and drink a cup every 1-2 hours. You can add sweetener to taste. If you are ill, do your best to drink the whole pot within 24 hours. Zach loves this as a base for chicken soup!
Recipe #2 - Antimicrobial Tea for Lung Health
- 8 cups of water
- 2 Heaping tablespoons each of the following dried herbs - Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Rosemary, Sage
{If you have fresh herbs, substitute that at 4 tablespoons each, if you don't have all these herbs that's okay. Oregano and Sage are the most potent ones for lung health.} Put a lid on and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain and drink 1 cup an hour, can add sweeteners to taste. If you are having lung issues, put the pot on a table, put a towel over your head and breathe it in throughout the day. It is okay to keep reheating it, it will get stronger the longer it sits.
