Dear NYGC
Growers,
Hello, fellow growers! Here’s another mini-newsletter, this time with the February Journal of the month nominees. Don’t miss the drawing watch party, starting 6:30 PT on Sunday, March 7! If you do miss the party, next
week’s newsletter will have the winner, as well as information about the end-of-challenge prizes coming up in April for Best Journal, Best Recovery, and Best Growmie.

There comes a time in the life of every leaf when it
must go. While I usually #LeaveTheLeaves to help maximize my plants’ growth, sometimes during the stretch I have to do some cleanup, removing the lowest leaves that are touching the growing medium or preventing air flow through the plant. This monster

leaf was doing both, so as much as I hate snipping off a photosynthetic powerhouse like this, it had to go. Grower Love,

February Journal of the Month Nominees!
The winner of the February Journal of the month will be chosen based on the California Daily 3 Lottery drawing happening on Sunday evening, March 7, 2021! The person within whose range the chosen lottery number falls will win the coveted title of Journal of the Month and a case of glass jars to cure and store their harvest.
Â

|
A case of twelve wide mouth 32-ounce (quart) jars for curing and storing? How much will that hold? Well, it depends on how dense your flowers are, how big they are, and how tightly you pack
them.Â
|
I usually put about an ounce (30-40 grams) in one of these jars during the cure, and then re-pack once they are cured with 50-60 grams per jar. So a case is enough for 12-16 ounces while curing, and 21-25 ounces for
long-term storage.
Â
Join the Live Watch Party in our chatroom starting at 6:30 PM Pacific Tiime on Sunday, March 7th (02:30 UTC on 8 March). The numbers are drawn some time between 6:45 and 7:15, usually on the earlier side. Be sure to stop by for a chance to
win exclusive watch party prizes that will be awarded in real time!
