CrowdStrike and Google have joined together to provide security teams with better insights into threats across hybrid and cloud deployments.
The two technology organizations are linking a half-dozen of their cybersecurity tools together to make it easier for teams to detect malware in their networks.
So what does it mean for us? Here's what you need to know.
1. Falcon platform is CrowdStrike’s flagship product
Due to its large base installation, Falcon tracks roughly 5 trillion security data points weekly. Many organizations use it to protect employee devices and servers on their network.
Now the platform will send security information to Google’s Chronicle analytics platform.
It will let cybersecurity analysts study the data for signs of a breach.
2. Google Chronicle Security in Petabytes
Chronicle is now part of Google Cloud. Once the tech world thought in terabytes.
Google thinks that is shortsighted and designed Chronicle for a world that thinks in petabytes.
The Chronicle platform allows security teams to cost effectively store and analyze all their security data in one place to investigate and detect threats at Google speed and scale.
3. Even Better Together
With Google and CrowdStrike teaming up together, information from Falcon will now be added and available on Google Cloud’s Security Command Center service.
The collaboration of CrowdStrike and Google puts a specific emphasis on keeping public cloud environments secure.
