Sometimes I hear how hard it is to come up with ideas for a masculine cards.  I'm sure some men enjoy and appreciate flowers, but floral images are generally not used (or thought of) for masculine cards.

The men in my life enjoy the ocean so I seem to buy ocean related stamp sets. You can easily substitute tools, camping, animals, food or beverage images where I placed the anchor & seaweed and starfish & sand dollar images.  

You'll notice that I did not use the sentiment "happy father's day" on the front of the card.  I chose phrases that conveyed a celebratory meaning and will write a more personalized father's day message with my pen.  This same card could say "congratulations" on the front for retirement, "get well" for feel better or "happy birthday" for a birthday celebration.

New Stamp Club Begins in July!

My Clubs run for six months at a time so that new members can join in at two different times of the year.  My next Stamp Club will run from July through December.  Stamp Club is for both those who can come in person and those who are to-go (getting their supplies in the mail and follow along with videos).  There will be changes to how Stamp Club is run in 2025.  So if you've been thinking about it, now is the time to sign up.

Club Details:

• Each Club member orders a minimum of $30 in product each month (for the six months of Club).  I will supply a specific Club host code to use each month.
• Each member will be assigned a month to be the host and receive all of the Stampin’ Rewards for that month.
• Club members automatically receive my product spotlight monthly tutorials. 
• Each member will make 3 projects (usually two cards & one 3D project) at Club Class or at home, by watching accompanying videos.  The supplies are included as a Club benefit. (If a project involves stamping, I will complete the project for you due to Stampin’ Up! policy of no stamped images can be included in a to-go kit.  Videos will still be made & sent to you so you can learn the technique).
• Club Classes are free to Club members & are held on the 2nd Monday of each month.  You choose to attend at 10 am, 1:30 pm or 7pm. 
• In person members are expected to provide their own adhesive.  I have adhesive for sale if needed. 
• If you do not or can not attend the Club Class, you can either pick up your kit or have it mailed to you at your expense.
• Club members automatically receive all the new catalogs.
• The 2024 club dates are: July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14, November 11 & December 9.

Finding More Time to Craft

To expand upon the notion of finding time to craft (that I mentioned at the beginning of this newsletter), I have put together a list on finding time to craft: 

-Schedule an appointment with yourself.  Actually write the time and day on the calendar that you want to craft and be sure to keep your appointment.  Do you skip a dentist or doctor appointment when housekeeping or errands are calling??  “me time” is important for keeping calm, happy and healthy.

-You don’t have to do the entire project at once.  Divide the process into segments: looking for ideas, designing the project, cutting, assembling, cleaning and sending.

-Try to keep distractions at a minimum by turning off phone & email notifications, closing the door, etc).  

-Go online for only a limited period of time and save (screen shot) pictures of projects you like and place them in a designated folder (rather than on your desktop).  Once you find 3-5 that fulfill a specific need, stop searching and start planning/creating.

-If you don’t have all the supplies, don't let that stop you.  Choose a different project or find alternative supplies or techniques to come close to your original idea.

-Your space is disorganized.  Clean up your space.  More than cleaning, you may have to organize and purge any supplies that are no longer viable or to your liking.  You have my permission to get rid of supplies (recycle, give away or throw away) that you no longer like or need.
