Hello ,

Welcome to this week’s issue of The Ripple Effect and some inspiration for your week.

Hopefully Spring is in full bloom where you are and you’re enjoying all the greenery and warmer weather!

Last week I not only spent time visiting my Mom up in PA but we celebrated Mother’s Day by having both Matt’s parents and my Mom and Stepdad visit us for the weekend. It was a joy spending so much time with my Mom and also wonderful to celebrate Mother’s Day with both my Mom and Mother-In-Law; two wonderful inspiring women who I cherish dearly. Below is a photo of us taken in front of our house during their visit.

This week’s quote is one I love to share with clients, friends, and colleagues who are feeling stuck in their lives or as if they have “no choice” in some area of their life.  Making positive life-changing choices is something I’m passionate about empowering others to do and wanted to share this quote with you today.

Feel free to pass this along to anyone who may benefit from reading it. Keep spreading those positive ripple effects!

Wishing you joy and success,
Andria

Three Ways to Deal with Difficult People:  I spent last week coaching a group of emerging leaders and a general theme that many of them are facing is how to deal with difficult people; you know, those people in our work lives or even in our families who rub us the wrong way. Regardless of whether they’re doing it purposefully or completely oblivious to the impact they’re having on us, they are still irritants. Often times we cannot avoid these people, especially if we work with them, work for them, or they’re part of our family. So how do you deal with them and stop allowing them to negatively impact your life? Here are three suggestions:  [Read more...]

“There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.” ~ Denis Waitley
There’s not a lot to add to what Denis Waitley says in this quote. It’s spot on; if you feel like you’re “stuck” you can choose to accept things as they are and make the best of the situation, or you can decide to change the situation.  There’s always a choice.  The act of not choosing is also a choice – it’s the decision to accept things as they are, and that is often the best and right decision to make.  The bottom line is that in each moment we are choosing how to create our lives.  Once we recognize that, we realize we have full control to make new choices and create new experiences in each moment.  It’s always your choice.

This week’s inspirational activity:  If you’re feeling stuck or as if there’s an area of your life you feel you have “no choice” reflect on this above quote. Remind yourself that there’s always a choice to be made.
