Hello ,

Welcome to this week’s issue of The Ripple Effect and some inspiration for your week.

Last week my niece finished Middle School and had her 8th grade graduation ceremony.  I had the pleasure of being there and photographing the event for her. Most of you who know me know how much I adore her and what a special relationship we have. I make it a priority to be at all her milestone events (and then some!) so being at this event was a highlight for me, as they all are!  Below is a photo of Nicole and me after the ceremony.  It’s hard to believe she’s off to High School in a couple of months. I feel like I was just at her kindergarten graduation ceremony!
We’ve been busy at C3 the past couple of weeks adding to the Resources Page of our website. I wanted to include items that have been helpful to our coaching clients so we added some of those reports and downloads as well as an updated list of recommended books. Check it out here.

Most of these resources provide you with information and tools to change yourself and your life and that’s what this week’s quote focuses on – hope you enjoy it!

Feel free to pass this along to anyone who may benefit from reading it. Keep spreading those positive ripple effects!

Wishing you joy and success,
Andria

A Few More Things No One Told Me About Losing My Dad:  As I sit here writing this blog post, it has been exactly eight months since my Dad passed away.   I was talking to my sister about it and we both thought, “How did THAT happen?”  How did it suddenly become eight months since we’ve seen or spoken to our sweet Dad? I wrote a blog post in February about a few things no one ever told me about losing my Dad.  Since that time, a few more things have arisen which haven’t necessarily shocked me but aren’t things I thought about or others shared with me about their experience with losing a parent.  Perhaps those of you going through a similar experience can relate to some of these: [Read more...]

“Very often a change of self is needed more than a change of scene.” ~ A.C. Benson

Sometimes a change of scenery is just what we need to shift our attitude and perspective about something; however, those changes are often short lived. When we return to our regular life, we fall back into some of the same old ruts and routines. That’s why I love this week’s quote.  When we change ourselves and create positive internal shifts, it changes everything around us.  The scenery changes without needing to go anywhere because we’ve made the inner shift required to view the situation and our scenery differently.  All lasting and permanent change always begins by changing something on the inside.

This week’s inspirational activity:  If you’re feeling like you need to make some lasting positive change in your life, perhaps it’s less about a change of scenery and more about making an inner shift on how you’re viewing your life.   Start by making a list of all the things you’re grateful for; then list the things you’d like to make better in your life.  What can you do to start shifting those things you want to change? Is there one small step you can take? If you need some ideas, feel free to check out our resources page and some of our recommended readings!
