The January issue of Atlantic Business Magazine is now online, featuring the inaugural winners of Atlantic Canada’s Best Places to Work.
“There are many excellent employers across Atlantic Canada, but this program was established to recognize companies and organizations that are 100% committed to HR excellence—workplaces where going above and beyond is the norm,” said executive editor and co-owner Dawn Chafe in the story introduction.
The “norm” in this instance includes flexible work options, competitive salaries and comprehensive health benefits. Going above and beyond ultimately comes down to workplace culture: respecting employees, valuing their input and enabling them to have a measurable impact on how an organization is managed.
There are 20 winners in this inaugural awards program, chosen from 127 nominations submitted by Atlantic Business Magazine readers. Nine winners are based in New Brunswick, six are in Nova Scotia, four are in Newfoundland and Labrador and one is in Prince Edward Island.
