Hello, friends!
My new book, Awestruck: 52 Experiments to Find Wonder, Joy, and Meaning in Everyday Life, comes out next week.
There's a book
release party happening on Monday. It's free. It's online. You're invited! Come one and all.
I'll be joined by fellow author Ros Ben-Moshe and we'll both share a few words about our new books. This virtual book celebration is presented by One Idea Books and Gifts and Get It Done.
To see more info about the party and RSVP, head over here.
I'd love to see you there! If you can't make it, no worries, and perhaps we'll connect online or in-person another time this year.
Most of all: today, I hope you can seek out a tiny moment of awe.
Watch the sunset. Listen to music that moves you. Gasp as a figure skater lands a quadruple axel. Feel small in the presence of something massive: a redwood tree, deep canyon, or skyscraper. Gaze at a vast horizon. Witness a quiet act of courage and
marvel at the goodness of the human spirit.
No matter how noisy, busy, and hectic the world feels, we can find little moments of awe in our daily lives. These are the moments that remind us what a gift it is simply to be alive.
Let's be awestruck today.
-Alex
PS. If you'd like to read Awestruck, you can find the book at your local independent bookstore, at Bookshop, Amazon, or wherever you prefer to shop. I hope this book brings beauty, inspiration, and peace into your life.
PPS. Huge thanks to my publisher, Chronicle, for partnering with me to bring Awestruck into the world. It's stunning. I can't stop looking at the shimmery holographic cover! So grateful.
