Perhaps the most potent technique with which to open and balance the Third Eye Chakra.  This article includes a video teaching you how to practice this mantra technique correctly and safely.

This meditation uses mudras and mantras, along with mental focus to bestow its benefits.  It is ideal for those looking for peace, tranquility and realization of their divine nature.

This particular meditation exploits the power of yoga pranayama, chakra visualization, yoga numerology, along with hand/eye mudras to help you open your Third Eye Center.  It requires some willpower to master, so be prepared to give it your all.

The mind and breath are very closely related and one of the best ways to calm and control the mind, is by calming and controlling the breath.  That is what Shabd Kriya helps you do.    

As this meditation utilizes breath retention and breath suspension, please ensure you don't overdo it and build up your capacity slowly over time.
 
This is a great meditation to promote relaxation and stress relief, it is particularly helpful to those suffering from insomnia or anxiety.

The article, Chakra Healing | How to Analyze and Heal Your Chakras, will help you analyze the state of each of your chakras. Also, in that article are techniques to work on each of the chakras you find to be out of balance or blocked.  If you find that it is the Crown Chakra that needs work, then use this meditation to help open and balance that center.
 
As with all chakra meditations, do not overdo it.  Slow and steady is the best approach and listen closely to your body and heart.  This technique is also quite challenging and be sure not to overstrain when practicing it.
