Tell me if this sounds familiar: you sit down to plan or send your next email and doubt grips you.
What if this information isn’t 100% correct?
What if someone finds a mistake?
What if someone decides they hate my content and *gasp* clicks unsubscribe?
You are not alone. Every marketer and small business owner has these same thoughts.
You know why? Because it’s scary writing something that others are going to read.
But here’s the truth: your email will never be 100% perfect. No matter how many people help you with your copy, design, and strategy, it can always be better.
100% perfect is not humanly possible. (Sorry to be the one to break it to you).
All we can do is strive to do the very best we can with the resources we have at that moment.
When those mistakes inevitably happen, that doesn’t make you, or your emails, a failure. It makes you an official email marketer. (Welcome to the club!)
Mistakes happen to all of us, no matter how many emails we’ve sent or proofread.
Does that mean you only send emails when you’re 1,000% confident they are error-free? If you did, you’d never get another email out.
Instead, send each email like it’s a new opportunity to learn from your subscribers and your own creative process.
The more practice you get, the more opportunities you’ll have to build the profitable relationships you’ve been working hard to do.
