Move Subscribers Between Lists - AWeber API v1.0.2 Released

On Wednesday 3/16/11, we updated our API to provide you with more tools for designing apps to integrate with AWeber.

See the full details of v1.0.2 on the changelog.

There are a few changes, but the major one is that you can
now seamlessly move subscribers between lists in AWeber.

How You Could Integrate Moving Subscribers In Your App

> Moving subscribers between lists creates a smooth transition for individuals who start out as prospects, then become customers.

For instance, you could create a PayPal app that moves prospects seamlessly over to a customer mailing list after they make a purchase.

You could then use this customer list to to thank them for their order, send them shipping or download information, or
even upsell another product.
> Using a CRM tool like Salesforce or Highrise alongside AWeber? Moving subscribers between lists via the API helps you make sure the right messages are going to leads at all times as they move through your sales funnel.

This is especially nice for companies with sales staff - a salesperson can make changes to leads in your CRM and have that lead moved to the right list in AWeber, and you don't have to give your AWeber login details to the salesperson.
> Do you or your clients run a paid-for membership site?

You could write an app that looks at expiring memberships and moves those subscribers from your "main" list to one that contains messages designed to retain those members and get them to renew their memberships.

These are just a few ideas to get the ball rolling - I'm sure you'll come up with other innovative ways to integrate AWeber into your software. Check out the changelog for more details on using these updates to the API.
