Insert + Update = Upsert Subscribers
We’ve combined the power of updating and inserting subscribers into a single ‘Upsert’ endpoint!
Rather than AWeber creating a new endpoint for you to implement, we simply updated our Add Subscriber endpoint to include a new update_existing parameter. When set to true, our system will update an existing subscriber.
Does your integration use tags? Good news: This parameter ensures tags are applied to subscribers already on a list and new subscribers.
Not using tags yet? With the tags parameter on the Add Subscriber endpoint, there are no additional API calls needed.
Expanding Webhooks
We’ve expanded webhooks to include a subscribed and unsubscribed event. These webhook events provide a deeper picture of a subscriber’s journey.
The subscribed event triggers when a subscriber is added as single opt-in or when a subscriber confirms their email address via a confirmation email. The unsubscribed event triggers when a subscriber is unsubscribed from a list.

Happy coding and have a great day!
