Jhumpa Lahiri was born in London to Bengali parents. She grew up in the United States, taught at Princeton
University, and currently teaches at Barnard College, Columbia University. She is a winner of the Pulitzer Prize for fiction,and was a finalist for the Man Booker prize and the National Book Award in fiction. Her most recent book in English is a collection of essays entitled Translating Myself and Others. She lives between Rome and New York.....
