Shifting our Attention before Making an Intention

Attention before Intention

Last week was one for the ages...I'm sure you're familiar with the plot: Start the week with great plans to take on and conquer the world.  Then life kicks in and throws you a few curve balls...some you swing and miss at and a few you swing so hard you fall on your you know what! LOL! Yes this was what my week looked like and it felt like I was hit in the head time and time again with a 2 X 4 while repeating "Sir, may I have another!"  After my head stopped throbbing I had one of those moments that was like the old commercial "I shoulda had a V-8".
I realized I had the cart before the horse. Being so caught up with doing, I forgot how to practice just being. Instead of having a to-do list longer than a Christmas wish list as a child, I understood how important it is to pay attention to what it is that my soul wants and most likely needs to be. Before moving ahead with what there may be to do, paying attention to what needs to be expressed births the space to create the intention of what really wants to happen. When we put our attention before our intention, we allow our inner voice to be heard and guide us to where we are meant to be. Your head will thank you!  !n-joy!
