What's in your wallet?

What’s in your wallet?

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
~ Winston Churchill

How would you know if your life is prosperous? Do you evaluate how abundant you are by what’s in your bank account or how much is in your 401K? In our society, there seems to be a huge emphasis on financial wealth when it comes to our worth.  It reminds me of the credit card commercial that usually ends with the question “what’s in your wallet?”  This of course is asking us what credit cards we have in our “money wallet”. But is that an accurate measurement of who we are and what our worth is?

I invite you to imagine the concept of a “spiritual wallet” in terms of our capacity to give.  Think of this as a place we deposit all the qualities we bring to our lives and others.  As our “spiritual wallet” gets fatter and fatter, we have more gifts to offer everyone.  By frequently reminding ourselves of our amazing selves, we can keep our “spiritual wallet” replenished to continue the giving of our gifts.  Our “money wallet” may change but our “spiritual wallet” can always be ready to give.

What’s in your wallet?  Keep it filled and ready to give with all the magnificence of who we truly are.

Namaste,
