Where In the World Are
Coleen and Bob? (And Just What Are We Doing?)
Loco Daze! We couldn’t have planned it. Driving between Fargo, North Dakota, and Cormorant, Minnesota, we ran into the Dilworth Loco Daze celebration. We darned near ended up
leading the parade! We turned an unsuspecting corner to find they’d already blocked the street. A kind police officer gave us permission to slip past the barricade and out of the parade line-up.
Typical of small town festivals, Loco Daze
featured food, fun, and family. A vintage car show, a family egg toss, bingo, live music, a bean bag tournament…. And, garage sales!
City wide garage sales made it a heyday for us, a couple of thrifters. I nabbed a vintage, gray graniteware,
chuck wagon coffee pot. Less exciting, but needed, I found some Tupperware. Bob picked up cookbooks for my collection. He also got himself a new pair of sneakers, a couple of small tools, and a stack of paperback books.
As you’ve probably
surmised, Bob and I have been in the Midwest – Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. It’s where our 90-plus-year-old mothers live. We’ve seen four of Bob’s siblings and their families. We’ve also gotten in visits with family friends, neighbors, and caregivers. Having an RV makes visiting people so much easier!
Wherever you are in your travels, we wish you joy and
prosperity, Coleen

Watermelon: A Northern Boy RVing in Georgia Learns about Growing
Melon
Watermelon was something we ate on the Fourth of July. We bought it at the store. It wasn’t something we raised ourselves. Thanks to RVing in southern Georgia, I’ve now seen how thousands of sweet, juicy watermelons are grown,
from preparing the field through harvest.

Cordele Farmers Market: Peanuts, Peppers, Pecans, and Peach Ice Cream
Fresh produce -- I can always find room in our RV for it! We stop at farmers markets and road side
stands wherever we find them. The Cordele Farmers Market in Georgia is a favorite. More than a place to stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables, it’s a sensory delight.

RVing and Camping Tips
This tip is RVer tested and shared by Suzy and Mark
Drive slower! We spend less on gas because we slowed down and now drive the speed limit. You wouldn't think this would make much difference, but it does.
